# Additional Terms for the Free JTL-Shop Trial

## 1. Eligibility and relationship to the general plan

ideployed UG (haftungsbeschränkt) offers this trial to businesses and professional shop operators. By joining, you confirm that you act for your trade or profession and, where applicable, have authority to represent your organisation. Not every business must hold a VAT identification number.

A verified email account, completed platform activation and available trial capacity are required. The business restriction applies only to this programme. General Hobby and the Platform Terms also cover private individuals.

This offer is exclusively a time-limited, non-production environment for testing and evaluation. Use synthetic shop data only. Live customer orders, real payments, production customer or staff records, and connections that import live orders or production data are not permitted. This restriction applies to this JTL offer, not to all general platform use. Necessary real operator account/contact information and technical connection data remain subject to the Privacy Notice.

The [General Platform Terms](01-platform-terms.md) also apply. iDeployed funds the trial allocation separately from ordinary Hobby/Pro resources. It creates neither a paid subscription nor a permanent increase to your general plan.

## 2. Included test environment

The initially offered template version is JTL-Shop 5.8.2 with PHP 8.4.27 and an automatically configured MariaDB that is not publicly accessible. The template version confirmed when joining is authoritative. Security updates and necessary changes follow the General Terms; we do not promise to keep an insecure version unchanged.

The separate allocation allows at most one shop and database per account across all projects: a total of 1.5 shared vCPU, 1.5 GiB RAM and 10 GiB persistent storage, split into two 5 GiB volumes. Filesystem and database overhead consumes some capacity. These are not dedicated CPU cores or unlimited storage.

The application receives a public URL; database connectivity is configured automatically and remains private. Keep credentials confidential. iDeployed is an independent provider and is not part of or affiliated with JTL-Software-GmbH or its affiliates. This offer is not sponsored or endorsed by JTL. JTL and JTL-Shop are brand and product names of JTL-Software-GmbH. The JTL-Shop 5.8.2 core is supplied under MIT; its copyright and permission notices must be preserved. Bundled software, plugins and external services retain their respective licences and terms. The MIT licence is separate from the duration and resources of this hosted trial. A public URL does not turn the trial into a production service or restrict access to invited testers. Clearly identify the shop as a demonstration, do not advertise it for real purchasing, and use only sandbox integrations that cannot take real payments or import production records.

## 3. Price and availability

The trial is free and requires no credit card. There is no automatic paid renewal or retrospective charge for trial resources. Any later paid continuation would require an available separate offer and your express agreement; no such JTL conversion is currently promised.

Admission depends on available capacity authorised for the programme. Registration does not guarantee a place. Disks that still exist can prevent a new allocation until their safe removal is confirmed. We may close admission to new participants without shortening already confirmed trial periods merely for that reason.

## 4. Start and 14-day period

The trial lasts 14 days from the account's first confirmed claim of the offer. Its start and end are displayed and recorded with the confirmation. The period belongs to the account, not an individual shop. Stopping, deleting, choosing another project or replacing a shop does not reset the clock.

If a replacement is permitted within the remaining period and capacity has been released, it inherits the original deadline. A new email address or another account must not be used to evade programme conditions.

## 5. Voluntary deletion during the trial

Ordinary deletion of an already provisioned shop stops operation and retains the data for seven days from confirmation of scheduled deletion. Later trial expiry does not restart a retention period already underway. Restoration is permitted only before permanent deletion starts and while the original 14-day trial is still valid. Retention does not extend the trial.

You may request immediate permanent deletion through a separate express confirmation. Once performed, it cannot be reversed. A stop action alone is not that instruction. Never-provisioned resources without stored user data may be cleaned up immediately.

Retained data continues to occupy the corresponding trial capacity. A new shop is not released while the necessary cleanup remains unconfirmed. Passing a displayed date alone therefore does not guarantee immediate reallocation.

## 6. Trial expiry and access to data

**Pre-contract information on the EU Data Act:** This offer is provided solely as a non-production version for testing and evaluation for a limited period. Article 31(2) of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 provides that Chapter VI switching obligations do not apply to such services. This distinction concerns only the JTL trial described here, not general Hobby or other platform services. Contractual retrieval arrangements, applicable privacy rights and other mandatory rights remain unaffected. If the exception does not apply in a particular case, mandatory retrieval and switching periods prevail over a shorter deletion period.

At the end of 14 days, the shop stops. If deletion has not already been scheduled, data is retained for seven days from expiry; this is not additional running time and gives no right to restart or begin a new trial. Permanent removal is scheduled after retention. Expressly requested permanent deletion may occur sooner.

Irreversible deletion already underway cannot be undone. Removal is considered complete only after the required storage confirmations. Technical delays may postpone actual removal; they neither extend trial use nor promise indefinite retention.

Back up or export required data before expiry through available application functions. There is currently no promised self-service restart, export-running mode or paid JTL upgrade after expiry. Statutory return, switching and erasure rights remain available through legal@ideployed.com.

## 7. Data, operation and security

Persistent storage is not a backup. Do not import production databases, live customer/order records or staff data into this trial. Use generated, fictional test records; merely replacing names in production records is not enough. The trial is not a repository for records you must retain under tax, commercial or other laws. If prohibited data is uploaded accidentally, stop further imports and contact support to arrange lawful handling; this does not remove our privacy or security duties.

You are responsible for content, shop settings, credentials and extensions you install. Our own security and service obligations remain. The trial does not promise freedom from all vulnerabilities, production availability or immediate support for every JTL-Wawi/plugin configuration. Selecting a PHP version is not a guarantee that the whole application is free of vulnerabilities.

## 8. Contact and programme ending

Send technical eligibility and retrieval questions to support@ideployed.com; send legal questions and requests concerning a deletion decision to legal@ideployed.com. Abuse, concrete threats and legal obligations are handled under the proportionate measures and review procedures in the General Terms. Ending this programme does not automatically delete your general platform account or other resources.
